Challenges

Essential equipment such as echocardiography machines, patient monitors, and portable X-ray units is critical for timely diagnosis, safe surgery, and effective treatment but is difficult to procure and maintain within constrained hospital budgets.

Successes

Equipment Donations:
- Portable X-ray Machine (2025): Samsung unit, $75,000 (50% discount, $5,000 shipping/customs), subsidized by Dr. Rina Flores
- LAP Tower (2025): Donated by Class 74, led by Dr. Ed Osea
- Cardiac Catheterization Unit
- Neuro Lab (Dr. Rina Flores)

"Our newly built hospital, St. John Paul II Hospital, stands as a testament to progress—a first-class facility gracing the UST campus. While we have made significant progress, St. John Paul II Hospital still lacks essential medical equipment. Without these tools, it cannot function efficiently or provide the level of care our community deserves. As dedicated medical professionals, we understand the impact of well-equipped facilities on patient outcomes. Let us rally together to bridge this gap."
