Original KRA Objectives for Medical Surgical Mission, “Curing While Teaching”

  • Provide free and affordable surgical services to indigent patients.

  • Strengthen collaboration between STUH, USTMAAA and other like-minded organizations.

  • Impact on the education of residents, interns and medical students.

KRA Medical Surgical Mission

  • 20 major surgeries/day for 3 days.

  • Zero balance for 70% of patients.

  • <P5,000 for 10% of patients.

  • P10,000 for 10% of patients.

  • 80% satisfaction rate of mission participants.

Mission Satisfaction Survey Results

  • Volunteer satisfaction: 47% highly satisfied, 38% satisfied, 10% neutral

  • Patient satisfaction: 100% highly satisfied, no complications.

St. Martin de Porres Indigency Trust Fund

  • 2023: Approved $35,000 for indigency, $35,000 for second mission.

  • 2023–2024: Increased subsidized patients from 10 to 20/month.

  • 2025: $5,000 donation from Clarisse Valera (for MariJo).

Infrastructure and Equipment Donations

Research and Simulation Center​

  • 2023: Signed $1,000,000 Deed of Donation.

  • 2024: Donated $1M toward USTMAAA CME Auditorium at the Saints Cosmas and Damian Center for Research and Simulation.

  • January 16, 2025: Blessed USTMAAA CME Auditorium (Fr. Richard Ang, Fr. Max Gatela); Dean Maglinao toured 7-floor center.

Cardiac Catheterization Unit

  • February 2025: Blessed unit, re-launched Save a Heart Program (Fr. Julius Factora, Dr. Wilson Tan De Guzman, and Dr. Mila Yamamoto).
